Hello! My name is Marisa, and I am incredibly excited to join this amazing community. Here’s a little bit about me: I worked at an ice cream parlor throughout high school while earning my bachelor's degree in business marketing, accumulating over 6.5 years of experience in the industry. Initially, I thought I would be pursuing a career in event planning in the city, but life took a different turn, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

 

I purchased the ice cream parlor from the previous owner, and I’ve proudly owned it for over 9 years. Our homemade ice cream is something I am truly proud of; it evokes nostalgia and brings you back in time. Located in Chester, NJ, Taylor’s Ice Cream Parlor has been a cherished establishment for over 70 years, and I continue to be its owner.

 

After my husband and I welcomed our wonderful son, we decided to expand our business ventures further. We opened a coffee shop/kitchen/ice cream parlor in Randolph, NJ called Cream & Sugar, where I have had the opportunity to explore and develop my love for the coffee world. This venture has been such a blessing, and I take great pride in it as well.

 

I owe my success to my amazing team of employees, for whom I am truly grateful. This brings me to my next opportunity—I’ve had my eye on this corner shop for many years, and it’s hard to believe that I am now the owner! This shop has been an ice cream parlor for over 30 years, and I am excited to bring back that nostalgic feeling. I will be offering all my signature ice creams, including dairy-free options, soft serve, malts, shakes, sundaes, floats, egg creams, banana splits, ice cream sandwiches, and so much more.
